ScapeLeagues has no user accounts. Preferences such as favourited tasks are stored in your browser's local storage and stay on your device unless you ask for a backup.

Task backup is optional and does nothing until you create a backup link. If you do, the site saves which tasks you have starred under a random code, so you can restore them in another browser or on another device. That record holds nothing else: no name, no email address, no IP address, and nothing that identifies you. It is stored in a database run by a company called Neon, on servers in the United States. You can erase it at any time with the delete button on the backup page.

Anyone holding your backup link can see and change the starred tasks it points at, which is why it stays hidden on screen until you choose to reveal it. A lost link cannot be recovered, because there is no account behind it.

To stop bots abusing that feature, Upstash keeps a one-way hash of your IP address for up to an hour. The address itself is never stored, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.

The site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics from Pirsch, a GDPR compliant, EU hosted service, to count page views and understand which tools are useful. Your IP address and browser user agent are processed transiently to count a visit and are never stored. No personal data is sold.

The site also uses Vercel Speed Insights to measure loading performance. It records timing measurements along with the page address, and coarse details such as device type and connection speed. It sets no cookies and does not identify you.

If advertising is added in the future, this page will be updated with the ad provider's data practices and any required consent controls before ads go live.

Donations are sent directly to the wallet addresses published on the donate page. There is no payment processor, no embedded checkout and no third party script: the site receives no information about you when you donate, and cannot see who sent what.
